Besides the joy of winning the Golden Ball for the 8th time, Messi also recently encountered an incident right on the awards ceremony in Paris. Specifically here, the Argentine superstar had a somewhat harsh conversation with a famous friend.

 

That’s Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos. He and Messi had a quick conversation via video right at the recent awards ceremony. Here, M10 scolded Ibai for revealing the two’s messages in a previous live broadcast.

 

“Ibai, I’m angry with you. I don’t like the fact that you let the public see our messages. You don’t respect privacy.” M10 told the Spanish streamer.Ibai then clarified: “But Leo, I blurred it out. It wasn’t shown clearly.”

Despite his friend’s explanation, Messi still looked uncomfortable and even cursed: “I will not answer your questions anymore because you have made everything public and I don’t like that… Golden Ball ? Now you’re changing the subject, you bastard.”

 

However, streamer Ibai Llonas later posted a video on his personal page with the caption that even though he was scolded by Messi as a bastard, the two could still talk normally after that. He confirmed that Messi was just joking and that they are still good friends.

 

After receiving the 2023 Golden Ball award, Messi boarded a plane to return to the US that night. The Argentine superstar is expected to have a celebration with the host club and fans of the Florida team.
