Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah is in pursuit of additional Premier League records during this season.
In Darren Bent’s view, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has enjoyed a superior Premier League career compared to Cristiano Ronaldo. Salah has notched up 141 goals during his tenure in the English top-flight, with 139 of those coming while representing Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
Bent believes Salah’s contributions make him one of Liverpool’s all-time greats. He points to Salah’s record-breaking achievements, including surpassing Steven Gerrard and Robbie Fowler as Liverpool’s highest-scoring Premier League player, notably marked by his brace in the 7-0 victory over Manchester United.
Despite speculation regarding his future due to interest from Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, Salah remains committed to Liverpool, with two years left on his contract.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Bent indicated that if he were selecting an all-time Premier League XI, Salah would undoubtedly feature on the right side of the attack, with Cristiano Ronaldo moved to the left. Bent praises Salah’s consistency and remarkable statistics, suggesting that Salah has been phenomenal and deserves a place among the Premier League greats, even though he is not a Liverpool fan. He emphasizes Salah’s ability to maintain high standards season after season.
