Mykhailo Mudryk was deemed ‘too risky’

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino Following their semi-final victory against Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup, Mykhailo Mudryk was deemed “too risky.”

The resounding win at Stamford Bridge secured a spot for Chelsea at Wembley on February 25, where they will face either Fulham or Liverpool.

Nevertheless, Chelsea’s £88.5 million acquisition, Michy Mudryk, had a lackluster first half and was substituted for by Noni Madueke at halftime owing to a yellow card.

Pochettino mentioned that Mudryk had a yellow card when asked about the substitution at halftime. He was cautioned for an action near the end of the first half that was deemed too rιsky; he received a second yellow card for coming dangerously close to touching the opponent. We chose not to rιsk him during that period.

Pochettino indicated, “Yes, I think it was an unnecessary rιsk to have him on the pitch” when asked if his team had an issue with unneeded yellow cards during games. That is the reason behind the change.

The visit to Wembley next month, according to Pochettino, will do wonders for Chelsea’s mindset and self-assurance.

I agree that this is crucial for our company. Two fantastic teams, Fulham and Liverpool, will be facing us; the matchup is sure to be tough. “But now we have to have faith that we can win,” Pochettino stated.

I believe it’s a significant step for us since it boosts our self-assurance and belief, which in turn motivates us.Plus, a plethora of players are on the verge of returning to the squad. They may decide to workout tomorrow after seeing how tight the final is.

Since we are out of the Champions League and Europe, I believe today will be a good day for our club. A trip to Wembley like this will strengthen our resolve, self-assurance, and perspective.

When it comes to their desire to win, I find Chelsea’s attitude to be absolutely remarkable. Yet, we are a brand-new squad. We must establish this trust and confidence. Now is the time to compete in a final at Wembley Stadium against Fulham or Liverpool.
