The defender for Real Madrid, Nacho Fernández, apologized to Girona’s Cristian Portugués, also known as “Portu,” on Saturday for entering the game between the two teams in the Spanish LaLiga EA Sports. He wished the football player a speedy recovery and stated that he never intended to hurt anyone during this match or throughout his career.
“I wish to express my regret to Portu for an unintentional behavior during the game. Throughout my career, including now, I have never intended to cause harm to anyone. Through his ‘Instagram’ account, the footballer posted, “I hope you can recover well and quickly.”
After the VAR review, Nacho was sent off with a straight red card for the action, which resulted in Portu being taken off wounded and on a stretcher.
