“Have a very Kobe Christmas.”

The Lady Tigers didn’t reveаl the Nike Kobe 8 LSU series to the public until after star player Angel Reese was spotted wearing two of the three hues.

“It’s only fitting to have purple, gold, and white Kobes,” according to them.

The color schemes are already amazing, but Kobe Bryant’s sole professional team, the Los Angeles Lakers, has the same colors as LSU’s varsity squad.

Having said that, the Kobe LSU series is not available to the general public, as it is reserved for the Lady Tigers and their me𝚗’s basketball teams.

Kobe Bryant’s ties to the LSU Tigers

One of six teams honored by Nike’s “Mamba Program”—named after Kobe Bryant—is the LSU Tigers.

The LSU Tigers receive player-exclusive Nike Kobes as part of their Mamba Program. LSU is the alma mater of Shaquille O’Neal, a teammate of Kobe Bryant’s.

The first time the LSU Lady Tigers wore their new Nike Kobe 8 Pros was last month in a match against the Virginia Tech Hokies.

Along with the Duke Blue Devils, the USC Trojans, the Oregon Ducks, the UConn Huskies, and the Kentucky Wildcats are the other teams that Nike has designated as Mamba Programs.

Unexpectedly, the top-ranked LSU Tigers lost their first game of the season against the 20th-ranked Colorado Buffaloes in the Naismith Hall of Fаme Series, setting the stage for a disastrоus start to their title defense. As a result of the defeat, the Lady Tigers fell to seventh place in the collegiate rankings.

Notwithstanding the problems surrounding Reese, LSU bounced back swiftly, defeating Queens, Mississippi Valley State, Kent State, Southeastern Louisiana, Texas Southern, and Niagara in a row.

After a harrowing match against Virginia in the Cayman Islands Classic, LSU cruised to victories over then-number-nine Virginia Tech, McNeese, and Louisiana.
