Noah Syndergaard’s throwing session attracted more than a dozen teams

Noah Syndergaard threw for about fifteen teams lately, and he reportedly hit the mid-90s. Robert Murray, an MLB insider, reports that the Pirates are intrigued. No news about the Mets being present.

Although the Mets have improved their lean rotation and boast the greatest closer in the National League, the relationship between their closer and starters still appears precarious at best.

The Mets could consider Brandon Woodruff as an excellent alternative because he should be healthy and back to his ace position by 2025. He is from Milwaukee, as Mets president David Stearns knows.

The Orioles may think about taking a closer look at free-agent starters given that starting pitchers are still extremely expensive in the trade market.

Shane Bieber is most likely going to stay in Cleveland, and Corbin Burnes is most likely going to stay in Milwaukee. Even though they have discussed Dylan Cease a lot, the O’s don’t seem to be near.

One general manager (not Baltimore’s) claims that the cost of Cease is “the sun and the moon.” Given the monetary values of free-agent starters, that might be about accurate.
