OFFICIAL: Man City have successfully signed the ‘blocĸbᴜᵴтeг of England’ winger for £55M

Man City have successfully signed winger Jeremy Doku for £ 55 million.

Man City’s homepage has just confirmed that it has successfully recruited Jeremy Doku from Rennes. According to the Daily Mail, the value of this deal is 55 million pounds. The Belgian winger has signed a five-year contract with the Etihad Stadium team.

Man City has been following Doku for the past 1 year. But it was not until Riyad Mahrez parted this summer that the Manchester team spent money to recruit a player born in 2002.

On the launch day of the new team, Doku said: “Today is a great day for me personally, especially in terms of my career as a player. Man City is the best team in the world, so joining this club is very special for me.

I am a young player and have a lot to learn and improve. Working with coach Pep Guardiola and his assistants and playing alongside the best players will make me a better player. I feel certain about that. I can’t wait to play on my Man City debut.”

Doku is Man City’s third rookie in the summer transfer window of 2023, after Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol. The Belgian excels in his ability to accelerate and contest the opponent’s half, skills that are not appreciated by Jack Grealish or Riyad Mahrez who have just left.
