Real Madrid will be aiming to secure top spot in the La Liga standings when they take on current leaders Girona on Saturday
The Merengues are currently second in the standings, a point behind their weekend opponents.
Having secured a 2-0 win over Las Palmas earlier this week, Carlo Ancelotti’s side will want to keep it going, especially with a big game against Napoli in the UEFA Champions League coming up.
Ahead of the trip to Catalonia, manager Ancelotti has released the squad list that will be at his disposal for the match against Girona.
David Alaba misses out from the list after having been injured in the match against Las Palmas, but Antonio Rudiger is fit and ready to go despite having suffered a knock in the same game.
In Alaba’s absence, Ancelotti has called up youngster Alvaro Carrillo to make up numbers in the defensive unit.
Apart from that, there are no other surprises, with the regulars making the list while Eder Militao and Thibaut Courtois remain the long-term absentees while Arda Guler is also out.
There will be changes to the starting XI, with the likes of Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr expected to start after being benched in the last game vs Las Palmas.
