In last Sunday’s 2-0 loss to Everton at Goodison Park, the captain of Chelsea’s squad suffered his latest ιnjury setback in his career.
Whether or not James undergoes surgery, he will miss a significant amount of time due to his hamstring ιnjury.
Although the England international has had a rough go of it with injuries recently, he has avoided surgery wherever possible.
However, James may need surgery to fix his persistent fitness problems after experiencing a hamstring ιnjury for the second time this season.
The next step in James’s recuperation will be decided on Monday, according to Pochettino, who made the announcement ahead of Saturday’s match against Sheffield United.
According to Pochettino, “First, we need to decide how we will proceed with his recover,” he said to reporters. “[On] Monday, we need to see how it is going to be, see the situation and then proceed in trying to find a different way to approach the problem and find different alternatives.”
James may not be able to demonstrate his fitness in time to be considered for Gareth Southgate’s England selection for Euro 2024 as a result of his most recent physical setback.
The 24-year-old will probably miss a few months of play due to the ιnjury, however the exact amount of time is yet unknown.
James is expecting a long road to rehabilitation, but Pochettino has promised the club will “support him” all the way.
The situation is not pleasant, and Pochettino knows how much pаin he and his family are through, he continued. He was overjoyed to be back and ready to assist the team with this dilemma; certainly, we should be careful with our words.
We will, nevertheless, stand with him. We are here to lend him a helping hand and assist him through this difficult time. Our goal is to find a way to get him back to the group as soon as possible so that he may recover completely and prevent this from happening again.
Without James, 12th-placed Chelsea will host bottom club Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday in an attempt to recover from back-to-back losses.
