After many worries, Manchester City finally had peace of mind when Bernardo Silva served for 3 more years.

This morning (August 24), the official homepage of the Manchester City club announced that Bernardo Silva had agreed a new contract with the club until 2026. This news comes as when Man City is suffering from a storm of injuries and some star players are also about to leave the team.

Man City fans are extremely happy to keep the most important player in their squad. Speaking to the media Silva said:

“I’ve had an unbelievable six years at Manchester City, I’m happy to extend that. I’m entering my seventh season at City. Since I arrived, I remember there’s only been one season that Man City has had. City didn’t succeed. So MC is now the team of the title to do that have to win and I want to win too.”

  

In this summer, the Portuguese star is sought after by many big teams such as Barca, PSG or even rich teams from Saudi Arabia. Pep Guardiola was afraid not to keep him, but Silva was finally able to give his best at the Etihad for another three years.

In the shirt of Man City, Silva has made a total of 308 appearances, he has 55 goals and 59 assists. An extremely respectable number and it shows that Silva is an extremely quality player with a comprehensive set of attacking skills.

Silva hopes that next time he will continue to conquer titles with Man City, especially in the Premier League, no team can win the treble, twice in a row. The Portuguese star very much wants to join his teammates to create that feat for the half-blue Manchester team.
