Pep Guardiola, Man City Boss, Speaks Up about Erling Haaland’s Injury: Uncertain about Recovery Time

PEP GUARDIOLA has acknowledged that he is unsure of Erling Haaland’s expected absence.

Due to an injury, the Norwegian star was unable to play against Luton Town today.

The 23-year-old Haaland has played every minute for Manchester City in the Premier League this year.

This season, the prolific forward has started every league game and netted 14 goals in 15 appearances.

Guardiola did, however, just disclose that Haaland has a foot problem.

The manager’s main worry is that he has no idea when Haaland will return.

The striker’s recuperation will be observed “day by day” by the Citizens.

“He has a bone stress reaction in his foot and he felt it after the last game,” Guardiola stated.

“He is incapable of playing.

“I’m not sure how long he will be gone.

“Week by week, day by day, we will see what happens.”

Furthermore, supporters’ reactions to the news on social media have been critical.

A disappointed supporter cried, “There goes our treble hopes.”

“The fact that Pep is unable to confirm his return date is a serious cause for concern,” another said. Hopefully, Alvarez develops into a premier Aguero.”

“Bro is enjoying Christmas in Norway,” remarked a third.

Manchester City has not won any of their previous four league games.

They are now seven points behind Liverpool in fourth place in the Premier League standings as a result of their current run of play.
