Liverpool trounced Chelsea 4-1 at Anfield Thursday night in the Premier League, leaving Chelsea looking ashamed.

They will have been filled with fear at the thought of taking against Jurgen Klopp’s team at Wembley, as many have been viewing the match as a practise run for the EFL Cup final at the end of the month.

Mauricio Pochettino’s team saw a little glimmer of hope with Christopher Nkunku’s goal off the bench, and the manager was probably incensed by what he had witnessed.

The Argentine referee will not be spared his fury because he decided not to give the Blues one of what appeared to be two obvious penalties.

Djorjde Petrovic is a Chelsea starter who deserves recognition for his performance, if any.That’s in spite of giving up four goals throughout the course of ninety minutes.

The 24-year-old made nine saves to largely prevent Darwin Nunez from ever reaching the goal. This demonstrated his impressive play in goal.

After Robert Sanchez left the team due to an injury, Petrovic seized the opportunity and now appears to be unstoppable for Pochettino’s squad.

Petrovic should be the player trusted with the gloves for the big game, according to the Blues’ preparations for the EFL Cup final.

His record against penalties is already outstanding; in the quarterfinals, he made the iconic stop against Newcastle United.
