Portugal player ratings vs Bosnia and Herzegovina

The goals just keep coming for Cristiano Ronaldo. The captain scores twice in a lopsided victory to keep his team undefeated in Euro 2024 qualifying.

Portugal routed Bosnia and Herzegovina, with goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and the rest of the team contributing to the rout. With a 5-0 halftime lead and four goals in the first half, the Selecao cruised to a convincing victory and remained undefeated in Euro 2024 qualifying.

Manager Roberto Martinez used his best players despite knowing they had already secured a spot in the competition for the next year.

It didn’t take long for his team to put an end to Bosnia and Herzegovina. After a handball inside the Bosnia and Herzegovina penalty area, Ronaldo scored the game’s first goal just 10 minutes in. Fifteen minutes later, the striker scored again by chipping the ball over the keeper after latching onto Joao Felix’s threaded pass.

As soon as he got past the Bosnian defense, Bruno Fernandes blasted a shot into the top corner to put the game out of reach. The Selecao began receiving support quickly after. After 32 minutes, Joao Cancelo scored the fourth with a beautiful curling shot from outside the box that found the upper corner. And Felix grabbed his reward, capitalizing on a defensive lapse to poke home the game’s sixth.

In the second half, Martinez used a largely different lineup, and the team’s output was, to be fair, down. When that realization hit, though, it was too late.

6/10 Diogo Costa:

Rarely used, a spectator.

7/10 – Diogo Dalot

Regularly ascended the wing. He established himself as a key player for his country.

7/10 – Ruben Dias:

Won the ball when he needed to, but generally just passed it around close range.

Ten out of ten, Goncalo Inacio

made a beautiful through-ball for Fernandes’s winner. Excellent midfield linkage.

Joao Cancelo, 8 out of 10:

tallied an incredible fourth and was directly involved with two more. Presently displaying his finest form for club and country.

Midfield

6/10 Danilo Pereira:

Not much to do besides make an appearance and keep things going. A peculiar option, considering the rival.

Bruno Fernandes, 8 out of 10

took his goal superbly and appeared to be a threat in the penalty area.

6/10 Otavio:

Moved the ball smartly and linked up with the first unit effectively, although his efforts in front of goal were ultimately unsuccessful.

Ronaldo, Cristiano (8/10):

Scored twice and almost had a hat trick for Portugal. What else could you possibly want?

Joao Felix, 9 out of 10

Although Ronaldo scored the game-winning goal, Portugal’s biggest threat was actually Felix. contributed to the team’s success by assisting, scoring, and setting up the other goals.

Rafael Leao, 7 out of 10:

One of Portugal’s top scorers who has yet to register. Nonetheless, risk persists.
