The Los Angeles Angels have a very hard job to do. Getting Shohei Ohtani to decide to stay in Anaheim. They did it once before, but Arte Moreno and Perry Minasian will have to work hard to keep him around after six straight losing seasons with no signs that the losing streak will end soon.

One thing that was meant to make the Shohei Ohtani sweepstakes easier was the fact that Ohtani wаnted to stay on the West Coast. Real teams that want to get Ohtani would still be in the running, like the Dodgers, Giants, and Mariners. But the big market teams in New York and along the East Coast would no longer be in the running.

The Boston Red Sox are an East Coast team that has a lot of money to spend and a good reason to do so after finishing last three years in a row. He told the New York Post that the Boston Red Sox “loom as a real threаt” to sign Shohei Ohtani. Oh no!

Shohei Ohtani may be willing to go to the Eastern League, which makes it even harder for the LA Angels to keep him.

Maybe they would have a better chance if only West Coast teams could play.
