Raheem Sterling, of Chelsea, has stated his desire to follow in Eden Hazard’s footsteps

Eden Hazard, a 32-year-old football legend from Belgium and a former standout for Chelsea, announced his retirement from the sport this year.

Like Chelsea legend Eden Hazard, Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling has stated his intention to quit from football once he no longer enjoys playing.

In an interview with Sky Sports’ YouTube channel before Chelsea’s match against Tottenham, Sterling stated he shares Hazard’s mentality when it comes to walking away.

“I’m just like Hazard,” I said. When the time comes that I no longer find football enjoyable, I believe that is the time.

The 28-year-old added that he hopes football never becomes a burden for him.

You shouldn’t be angry with the source of so much joy.

The England player realizes the importance of not overextending himself in the sport that gave him his livelihood. Sterling has had some good performances at Chelsea, but he has not yet regularly regained the form he had at Manchester City.

Sterling has scored 13 goals in 50 games for Chelsea, compared to 131 goals in 339 games for Man City.

But he’s still determined to help out however he can until he loses interest. Like Hazard, Sterling won’t think twice about retiring early when the time comes.

Fоr the time being, Mаuriciо Pоchettinо hаs Chelseа’s yоung аttаck led by the experienced Sterling.

However, the winger has one eye on the future and plans to retire when football stops being fun.

Like Hazard, Sterling wants to retire on his own terms so that he can look back on his playing career with nothing but good memories.
