Real Madrid is pursuing a different Chelsea star! Reece James is Carlo Ancelotti’s first pick to succeed Dani Carvajal

As they get ready to replace Dani Carvajal, Real Madrid has their sights set on Reece James, a star player for Chelsea.

For some time now, the Blues captain has been the focus of the Spanish powerhouses, who are trying to replace veteran right-back Carvajal. Mundo Deportivo claims that James has impressed boss Carlo Ancelotti and everyone else at the Bernabeu. The right-back has not announced his intention to leave west London, and his long-term Stamford Bridge deal does not expire until 2028.

THE BIGGER PICTURE: Carvajal has played a fantastic role for Madrid in the Spanish capital, with 386 appearances in ten years. His finest years are now behind him, but he was a fantastic addition to Real Madrid, having won three La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey trophies, and five Champions Leagues with them.

James and Chelsea’s next game is on Monday, November 6 against Tottenham.
