Real Madrid’s €80 Million Quest: The Pursuit of a Striker Continues

A little earlier than anticipated, Karim Benzema left Real Madrid. The consensus was that he would sign a one-year deal to play for another season. Rather, the Frenchman made the decision to leave the Santiago Bernabeu and move to Al-Ittihad, capping off a spectacular career. His long-term replacement has not yet been found by Los Blancos.

Joselu was signed by Espanyol on a season-long loan. To be honest, the Spaniard deserves more playing time than he is receiving because he has always performed well when given the opportunity.

However, the majority of people acknowledge that he won’t be Real Madrid’s long-term fix. At 33 years old, Joselu may be at the peak of his powers, but Father Time has never lost.

As a result, Real Madrid needs to bring in a striker soon who can be the team’s leader for many years. Numerous well-known players have been connected to them, and it appears that they are sticking with one guy in spite of his recent setbacks.

Real Madrid is still interested in acquiring a striker for €80 million.Tutto Juve stated that Real Madrid is always searching for a striker. Dusan Vlahovic is still on the roster of potential candidates.

Vlahovic was reportedly acquired by Juventus from Fiorentina for a transfer fee of about €80 million. While he was in Florence, he was among the world’s top young strikers, but thus far, his tenure in Turin has not impressed.

He has been okay all around. However, Vlahovic has fallen well short of the goals he set for himself at Fiorentina. Transfermarkt statistics show that he has made 73 appearances for Juventus and scored 27 goals thus far.

For context, prior to joining Juventus, he had scored 20 goals in just the first half of the 2021–2022 season for Fiorentina. Real Madrid is still considering Vlahovic, though.
