Reason why Gallagher new deal talks not progressing 

The summer of 2025 marks the expiration of Conor Gallagher’s Chelsea contract; a new agreement has not yet been reached.

There is a lot of speculation that the midfield player will leave Stamford Bridge this month or in the summer. Chelsea would benefit from the Financial Fair Play if they sold him since it would be seen as a pure profit.

Journalist Ben Jacobs claims that the Englishman’s lack of a new contract is mostly due to factors other than the Blues’ intention to let him go. It’s his requests for pay.

The 23-year-old demands pay of at least £150,000 a week, which Chelsea is unwilling to meet. At the moment, he makes about £50,000 every week.

Conor is wanted by the Blues for at least £45 million, according to Jacobs, and Spurs have shown interest in signing him.
