Rick Ross purchases a Miami Star Island mansion for $37 million

Rick Ross has reportedly spent over $37 million to acquire a luxurious nine-bedroom property on Miami’s Star Island. The Wall Street Journal notes that Star Island has been home to celebrities like Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Shaquille O’Neal, and Gloria Estefan. In 2020, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez purchased a 10-bedroom estate on the island.

TMZ Hip Hop reports that Rick Ross, a Miami native, is set to renovate the opulent 40,000-square-foot property, featuring six baths, a summer kitchen, a heated pool, and a small wooden harbor providing ocean access.

The rapper plans to move into the house, which includes an entertainment area. The purchase follows Rick’s acquisition of former NBA player Amar’e Stoudemire’s Miami residence for $3.5 million two years ago.

Rick Ross mentioned on REVOLT’s Assets Over Liabilities that despite owning Amar’e Stoudemire’s home, he hadn’t slept in it, emphasizing the property’s appreciation potential. The rapper also recently paid Meek Mill $4.2 million for an Atlanta property, reflecting his longstanding interest in real estate.

Rick Ross recalled buying a million-dollar Atlanta home early in his rap career out of fascination, noting, “Homes were something I was always fascinated about.” His most notable acquisition is the 109-room estate in Georgia, once owned by Evander Holyfield, named The Promise Land.
