And he’s kept up his hot streak this season, scoring 17 goals and giving four assists in 18 games.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone recently said that their star striker, Alvaro Morata, the former Chelsea disaster, was on par with Haaland.

Morata has 12 goals and three assists in 15 games this season.

Following those remarks, the question was posed to a man who is well-versed in both stars’ careers.

Rodri, a City midfielder, plays for his club alongside Haaland and for Spain alongside Morata.

Rodri was asked who he would pick when speaking to the media this week while with the Spanish squad.

And he chose Morata, saying, “Obviously, Morata.” The truth is that I am extremely fortunate to be able to play with them.

The video was quickly circulated on social media, and one fan joked that “there is still time for him to join Real Madrid” and become a great like Morata.

A City employee inquired if Rodri was “cracking up” after seeing the video on social media.

Another reiterated the same attitude, noting that Haaland “must leave City in order to be recognized.”

Both Haaland and Morata will be playing for their respective countries during the international break.

Spain will play Cyprus in their next qualifier on November 16, while Norway will play Faroe Islands on the same day.
