Ronaldo inspired a Japanese boy who is now the champion of Japan

Cristiano Ronaldo, a global football icon, has become an inspiration for countless children worldwide, motivating them to aspire to become professional footballers.

One remarkable story that stands out is that of Martunis, who lost his home and loved ones during the 2005 tsunami in Indonesia. The Portuguese Football Federation generously provided €40,000 to help rebuild his house. Cristiano Ronaldo learned about Martunis’s story and decided to visit him.

The Manchester United star not only visited Martunis but also promised to fund his education and invited the young boy to visit sporting events. In the future, Martunis pursued a professional football career. Unfortunately, his football journey faced setbacks, and he retired in 2016 after suffering an injury.

Another heartwarming incident occurred in Tokyo in 2014 when Cristiano Ronaldo attended an event. A young boy named Ryota Iwao was invited by the Portuguese player for an exchange. Many people chuckled when Ryota tried to communicate with his idol in Portuguese.

Cristiano Ronaldo immediately defended Ryota, saying, “Why are you laughing? He tried his best and spoke Portuguese very well! Show respect!”

Ryota asked Ronaldo about his dream to become a soccer player and play with him one day, seeking advice. Ronaldo replied, “You should always keep your faith, make efforts, and never miss an opportunity.”

Seven years later, Ryota achieved victory in the All-Japan High School Championship with the Yamanashi Gakuin club. The prospects of Ryota’s professional football career are promising, as Japanese football has been recruiting numerous talents from school football.

Ryota shared, “Ronaldo’s sincere advice is always on my mind” after winning the final.

Martunis and Ryota represent just two of the many cases inspired to pursue football by Cristiano Ronaldo. Worldwide, there are millions of boys who dream of becoming professional footballers like their idol.

Players like Kylian Mbappe, Mason Mount, and Bruno Fernandes were all devoted fans of Ronaldo during their teenage years and have now become some of the world’s top football stars. Cristiano Ronaldo’s influence transcends borders and continues to motivate aspiring football talents around the globe.
