A few days ago, Do Kim Phuc visited Al Nassr Football Club – where Cristiano Ronaldo practices and plays. Here, he realized his dream of meeting his Portuguese idol.

Kim Phuc said that the time from when he learned that he would be interacting with C. Ronaldo until leaving for Saudi Arabia was only 4 days. Thanks to the support of the Saudi Arabian embassy, visa processing for his journey took place quickly, taking only one day.

The Vietnamese artistic soccer player asked his sister to prepare a special gift to give Ronaldo, a conical hat with the familiar celebration image of this superstar. The hat also has images of the Portuguese and Vietnamese flags and the words “From Vietnam with love”.

Although he prepared quite carefully, two hours before the flight, Do Kim Phuc panicked when he discovered that the drawings on the hat had faded. Immediately, his sister had to drive from home to the airport to redraw. The gift was then completed and Kim Phuc was the last person to board the plane at that time.

In Arab, Kim Phuc saw Ronaldo practicing with Al Nassr Club. He said: “The feeling of watching Ronaldo practice is indescribable because this is a closed practice session and no one is allowed to record. I find it quite interesting that the players’ children can also practice in the field in a corner. At Al Nassr, Ronaldo is like a spiritual leader. He moves around the field, practices with each group and motivates his teammates.”

After the training session ended, Kim Phuc and a companion were given the opportunity to meet and interact with Ronaldo for a few minutes. “At that time, I was very shaken. When he signed an autograph and patted my shoulder, I was extremely happy, as if I was in a dream. Since the first time I saw Cristiano Ronaldo play for MU in 2003 With his ‘virtual’ leg movements, I raised the hope of one day meeting him in person. After 20 years, that dream has finally come true,” Kim Phuc said.

Recalling the moment when he personally gave a gift from Vietnam to his idol, Kim Phuc told an unforgettable memory: “When he learned that I gave him a hat, Ronaldo was very happy and excited. I told Ronaldo that it was a hat from his sister. I drew and he was also a fan of him. I also shared more about my admiration for CR7. I said a lot but unfortunately I spoke quickly and trembled so after that, Ronaldo made a blank face and told You guys are…you don’t understand what I’m saying.”

Closing the journey of “chasing” his idol, Kim Phuc said he still had some regrets because he couldn’t fully express what he wаnted to sаy to C. Ronaldo . However, meeting and giving a traditional Vietnamese gift to the Portuguese superstar was something beyond his imagination. Kim Phuc said he will continue to practice hard to return to participate in tournaments around the world, thereby having more opportunities to go to more places, meet more famous people, and promote the beauty of Vietnamese culture to the future. international friends.
