Ronaldo spent money to build a huge city

Cristiano Ronaldo has just won the bid for a project to build a completely new city in Lisbon, Portugal. The notable information is that this city will have an area of 15,000 square meters, with a prominent feature being 17 football fields for Padel.

 

This Padel city has an initial investment capital of 5 million Euros, with the investor identified as CR7 company, the brand named after the nickname of Cristiano Ronaldo. CR7 is owned by Cristiano Ronaldo and the company Lusofinança is owned by Portuguese businessman Filipe de Botton.

 

In addition, some other brands within the CR7 company include Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotels, a joint investment of Ronaldo with owner Dionísio Pestana. The CR7 hotel chain, known for its slogan “teamwork and fair play,” includes luxury hotels in Madeira, Lisbon, Madrid, Marrakesh and New York City’s Times Square.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s new Padel City, which will be the only location in Portugal, is expected to be inaugurated in the first half of 2025. The President of the Portuguese Padel Federation declared during the event: “Portugal is the power world power in the sport and Cristiano Ronaldo’s new investment will strengthen Portugal’s status as a Padel power.”

With this new investment, Cristiano Ronaldo is pioneering a new sport and his City of Padel will be able to legitimately host the European Championship, as well as the World Cup, in the near future.

 

Padel is a sport that combines squash and tennis, played in pairs in an enclosed court, with the ball served at or below the waist.
