Silva could return to the Brazilian club after the end of his contract

“I now have a family, I have children”- Chelsea superstar speaks about his future with contract set to expire in 2024

Thiago Silva states that his future with Chelsea is uncertain for the upcoming campaign.

Thiago Silva has provided a reticent response regarding his future at Chelsea, stating that his contract will expire at the conclusion of the current season and that the Blues will not object to his returning to Fluminense, his childhood club.

Silva, who recently had his contract extended in February of this year, will be confronted with a significant decision once the agreement expires. Unknown is the next course of action in his professional baseball career. The former Paris Saint-Germain player has started every game for Chelsea under Mauricio Pochettino this season, performing as a pillar of the defense.

Although Silva has not yet made a firm commitment, there is a possibility that he will return to the Brazilian club, where he has remained an indispensable figure despite being 39 years old. Silva did not specify whether he intends to remain at Chelsea beyond the expiration of his contract or return to Fluminense (as reported by Metro). However, he did state:

“At this time, I am the parent of children.” Thus, we must also consider this aspect. “I believe I have accomplished this beautiful and prosperous career; now it is up to us to discover where else happiness may befall us.”

Fourteen years ago, the Brazilian ace arrived in Europe, where he competed for a number of the continent’s most illustrious players. Since he played for Fluminense in his native country between 2007 and 2009, it is uncertain whether he will bid farewell to Brazil at the conclusion of a distinguished career.

At age 39, the fact that he continues to perform at a high level is extraordinarily remarkable. Silva’s decision to begin at that stage of his career is undeniably remarkable, given that the majority of players either retire or transition to less demanding competitions.

It is imperative that he concludes his career on his own terms, and we sincerely hope that he has discovered satisfaction in our organization since his transfer from PSG. A significant determination regarding his playing trajectory at Chelsea will be within his control once his contract expires.
