Dell Curry, the father of Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry, went to the media and stated that he had remarried following his divorce from Sonya.
Their divorce was a public spectacle, with accusations of infidelity and other misconduct flying back and forth between the two of them. When things became really terrible, Stephen yelled down to Seth, his younger brother and a Philadelphia 76ers player, to reassure him that he still cared about him.
Even while the father and eldest son seem to be doing fine and are still actively involved with one another, it was rumored that they had drifted apart owing to the divorce tempest.
Sonya had filed for divorce in a North Carolina court, and the couple had previously stated that they were both sad that their marriage had ended after so much thinking and discussion.
But it seems that Dell hasn’t wasted any time getting on with his own life, as he has already remarried after electing to stay on the East Coast.
“Yes,” he confirmed to the Charlotte Observer. That’s fantastic. After the divorce, I was at a loss for what to do with myself. The West Coast was a consideration for me. I told myself, “No way am I going to do what my sons want me to do. I plan to see this through. Stay a while.
Then, acquaintances set me up with the woman who would become my wife. It was the second time I’d seen her. It was a month after our first phone conversation that I finally met her in person. Oh, man, I really dig this chick. ‘What the heck is going on?’
I said I wouldn’t get married again, yet this is the best time of my life. It’s perfect in every way. I feel like I’m in a really good spot right now. The situation at home is stable. Everyone in my children’s families is healthy and happy. I’ve got their approval. I’m delighted for them. Therefore, I am happy.
Sonya appears ready to move on.
During the NBA Finals in June, Sonya was photographed rooting for her son and the Warriors as they faced the Boston Celtics.
Fans on X, formerly Twitter, were quick to notice the new couple in attendance and share their thoughts on the topic.
