Steph Curry gets roasted by NBA fans for yet another lackluster Christmas Day performance; ‘Ayesha serving sour eggnog’

The Warriors, despite Steph Curry’s best efforts, were defeated 120-114 by the Nuggets on the road. Since Draymond Green’s suspension, the Dubs have gone 5-2, but this loss ended their five-game winning streak. On Thursday, the Warriors will face the Miami Heat in an effort to get their winning streak back on track.

Without Green, the Warriors nonetheless presented the reigning champions with a formidable challenge. On a night when Curry struggled for the most of the game, the away team might have won. On 7-of-21 shooting, including 3-of-13 from beyond the arc, the iconic player for the Golden State Warriors concluded with 19 points.

Throughout his career, Curry has struggled to have a successful shooting night on Christmas Day games. Fans were reacting to his most recent ineffective performance:

“Sour eggnog served by Ayesha.”

With a 10-27 mark in 2021, Steph Curry’s field goal efficiency was at its lowest. Similarly, the Warriors defeated the Phoenix Suns 116-107 while playing on the road. Curry had a total of 33 points, 6 assists, 4 boards, 3 steals, and 1 block.

Once again, the Warriors were unable to come out on top in a road game, unlike in 2021. Just like that, Klay Thompson was unable to get going. He made three of twelve shots, including three of ten from beyond the arc, for nine points. With 22 points on 7-of-11 field goal tries, Andrew Wiggins took charge for Golden State.

Throughout the night, the Nuggets and Warriors traded baskets. As far as statistics go, the only ones that mattered were Denver’s fastbreak scores (20-8) and free throws (26-32/20-23). With the setback, Curry’s Christmas Day record fell to 4-6.

It was Steph Curry’s shooting touch that Nikola Jokic lacked as well. But “The Jоker” made a huge impact by finishing with a career-high 18 of 18 free throws. Jokic put in 14 boards and 8 assists.

The Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry will face the Denver Nuggets twice more.

The Warriors, led by Steph Curry, dropped to 0-2 following their Christmas Day loss to the Nuggets. Return dates for them are January 4 and February 25. In order to even the season series, the Dubs must win all of their remaining games.

Throughout the regular season, the Warriors have struggled to defeat the Nuggets. Their record versus Jokic and company over the past three years is 1-8, with a 0-5 record in their most recent five games. For the third matchup, Draymond Green’s availability is anyone’s guess. It will be another tough night for the Dubs trying to overcome Denver if the former DPOY stays out.
