“I’m not having a nice time” — £115 million man The reasons behind Moises Caicedo’s unexpecteԀ choice to play for Chelsea rather than Liverpool are revealed as he opens up about his troubles with the club.
Speaking about his time at Chelsea, Moises Caicedo discussed his problems there and explained why he decided to play for Chelsea instead of Liverpool.
Ever since his record £115 million ($144 million) transfer from Brighton in the summer, the Ecuadorian midfielder has had trouble settling in at Stamford Bridge.
Following last season’s phenomenal success with the Seagulls, he has lately spoken out about his difficulties at Chelsea and the reasons for his decision to join Chelsea rather than Liverpool. In an interview with Telemundo Network, the 22-year-old boasted, “I have had a lot of success in such a short time”. I accomplished a lot in Brighton when I was younger; nobody has noticed it yet since I just got here. The ups and downs of football are inevitable. It seems like the club and I aren’t having a good time right now, but I’m not freaking out because I expected this. Having a strong mind is essential. Whoever lifts you up will also inevitably lower you. I have taken everything into consideration and have not been swayed by empty compliments. Working for yourself has always been my thing; I am confident in my abilities and am content as long as my loved ones acknowledge it.
My mindset has consistently yielded positive results. Be present at all times, dominate games, and prevail in duels while positioned in the middle of the field. Sometimes in football it’s like that; I feel mаd with myself for not showing enough. Getting used to the club takes time and there’s a bit more pressure, but I’ve always dealt with that. We are not having a fantastic moment right now, but I have felt good about myself and I always want to win and want the squad to be good.
“They proved to me that they loved me, and that’s why I wаnted to come here,” he continued. I chose swiftly and said yes because it was something really good to me. The DT is easy to get along with since he speaks my language. It is excellent. Joining here was a bit less complicated. His benevolent eye is upon us. My tardiness was the most significant factor. Even if I struggled in preseason, I am grateful that he has shielded me.Although he has made 17 appearances in Chelsea’s 18 matches across all competitions since his arrival, the former Brighton star has not scored a goal or provided an assist this season.
The Blues’ season has gotten off to a rough start, as they are now 12th in the league. However, with 37 points after 16 matches, Jurgen Klopp’s squad is currently atop the league. On Saturday, Caicedo and Chelsea will face bottom-of-the-league Sheffield United in an effort to get their winning streak back after losses to Manchester United and Everton.
