Manchester United has not had a lot of positive news recently. However, Kobbie Mainoo’s return to full training yesterday was a really good development.
The wonderkid that was lighting up Manchester United’s preseason by shining against Lyon, Leeds, and Arsenal is Kobbie Mainoo.
Then, with a test match against Real Madrid coming up, Mainoo got hurt in the first five minutes and hasn’t played since.
Mainoo has returned to first-team training in anticipation of his season debut, having missed the first two months due to injury.
Manchester United fans celebrating Kobbie Mainoo’s comeback
Manchester United supporters have expressed joy about Mainoo’s return to the starting lineup.
One ecstatic fan tweeted, “Our boy is back,” while another stated, “Our best midfielder.”
“Happy to have him back and we can’t wait to see what ETH has in store for him this season,” a third fan commented.
One of the four supporters said, “Mainoo is back in training.” It made me smile in the face.”
“So excited to see him back playing for us again,” a fan commented. He could develop into the world’s finest young defensive midfielder.
Additional positive comments were made, one of which said, “Kobbie Mainoo coming back is a huge boost.”
“You can’t underestimate the impact these returning players will have,” a further observation was made. Young, hungry legs and more competition are what Mainoo will offer to the midfield.
The voyage of Kobbie Mainoo thus far
Kobbie Mainoo, Dan Gore, and Alejandro Garnacho were on Manchester United’s 2022 FA Youth Cup winning team.
Both players participated in the training session; Gore made his club debut last week, and Garnacho is now a regular.
In January, Mainoo made his debut in the FA Cup, Premier League, and Carabao Cup.
The Champions League match tonight could come too soon, and your best bet would be to sit as an unutilized substitute, but it won’t be long until Mainoo begins to play in the 2023–24 season.
