After Chelsea defender Thiago Silva’s wife Belle caught him red-handed using his phone while driving, she proceeded to delete the Instagram post.

After being photographed on his wife’s Instagram story, Thiago Silva, a defender for Chelsea, was found using his phone while driving.

Just hours after scoring in his team’s 4-0 FA Cup third round victory over Preston, Silva and his partner Belle went out to supper.

It is illegаl in the UK for a driver to gaze at a phone screen while behind the wheel, but Belle accidentally uploaded a photo of Silva doing just that.

Silva seemed to have pulled up to a red light and used the chance to quickly swipe through multiple photographs in the now-deleted social media post.

“Going to eat Japanese” was the English translation of the brief caption.

The precise location where Silva, 39, was apprehended for disregarding traffic safety regulations is yet unknown.

It is stated on the official government website that using a phone or other device capable of sending or receiving data while operating a motor vehicle is banned.

Even when vehicles are halted at traffic signals or in line, the legislation remаins in effect.

Possession of a mobile device while operating a motor vehicle or motorcycle carries a £200 fine in addition to six demerit points on the driver’s license.

If a motorist has passed their license exam within the past two years, they may have their license revoked.

Since moving to Stamford Bridge in 2020, Belle has been an outspoken social media supporter of her husband, Silva, and has captured images of him driving to and from games.

 

Reportedly dating since the year 2000, the two have been childhood sweethearts.

Isago and Iago are their two children from a marriage that took place five years later.

Silva won multiple major trophies in his 137 appearances for the club after joining on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.
