United’s fans really miss David de Gea painfully loss in UCL

MU just lost to Galatasaray at home and it also marked the first time the Turkish representative won in England in the entire 117-year history of the club.

A series of mistakes from Andre Onana, Raphael Varane, Sofyan Amrabat and Casemiro contributed to a disastrous evening for the Red Devils. Casemiro was forced to foul Dries Mertens in the penalty area after a wrong pass from goalkeeper Onana. He received a second yellow card and had to leave the field in the 77th minute. After that, Onana was also helpless against Mauro Icardi’s shot and was criticized for poor positioning.

In the wake of Onana’s poor performance against Galatasaray, former United goalkeeper David de Gea started trending on social media. His name became the top topic of interest in the UK region on social network X (Twitter).

Fans left comments:

“David de Gea deserves a statue outside Old Trafford because of the way he saved MU time and time again.”

“David De Gea… I’m sorry, on behalf of all Manchester United fans. Please forgive us.”

“If Ten Hag says he is ruthless and can get rid of club legends like Ronaldo and De Gea then he should have the courage to leave Onana on the bench in the upcoming matches. We have suffered enough. Already”.

“Removing De Gea and Henderson and bringing in Onana and Bayindir could be the biggest step backwards in Manchester United’s history.”

After failing to agree the terms of a new contract, goalkeeper De Gea left Manchester United in the summer after 12 years with the club. His departure left a lot of regret and now fans miss De Gea even more because this is not the first time Onana made a disastrous mistake in a Red Devils match.
