View the interior of Messi’s $10.75 million Florida estate

Soccer player Lionel Messi has made it clear that he is staying put with his recent purchase of a substantial, $10.75 million oceanfront mansion in Fort Lauderdale, according to the real estate brokers who sold him the property on Monday.

These days, Messi lives in a 10,500-square-foot estate with a pool, three car garage, 9.5 bathrooms, and eight bedrooms. Along with his three sons from a former engagement with model and social media star Antonela Roccuzzo from Argentina, he shares this land.

In the purchase of the home, which is located in a cul-de-sac and has 170 feet of shoreline in the Bay Colony community, Messi was represented by Samuel and Donna Simpkin at Compass Florida. In 2021, Patrick Bet-David, a social media personality and author, reportedly broke the record in the area when he bought a $20.4 million property.

This ultra-modern property features a 1,600-square-foot main bedroom, a spa, and a fitness center in addition to two boat docks. Situated on a smaller than half-acre plot of land.

Property taxes for the mansion are expected to be $83,400 a year.

Messi signed a record-breaking 2.5-year contract with Inter Miami earlier this year. Including his salary, signing bonus, team equity, and potential revenue-sharing agreements with Apple and Adidas, the deal is projected to be “worth up to $150 million total.” He is predicted to make an estimated $130 million between May 2022 and May 2023, ranking him second on Forbes’ list of the highest-paid athletes of the year. Additionally, he paid an estimated $7.3 million for the entire ninth floor of the lavish Regalia condominium in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. The new house is merely the latest addition to his impressive collection of properties. He is said to have owned—and maybe still hold, according to Architectural Digest—a $7 million estate near Barcelona, a $5 million condo in Miami, and a sizable home in his native Rosario, Argentina, complete with a theater, gym, and 15-car garage.

Not only has Messi recently made his home in South Florida, but so have other well-known figures. According to the Wall Street Journal, the ex-wife of Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bündchen paid little over $9 million for a house in Southwest Ranches, Florida. Her 7.5-acre estate has a 5,200-square-foot home, two horse rings, a stock pond for fishing, and a full-sized soccer field. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Chad Bishop of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty stated that the model would include horses, chickens, and other farm animals. Messi’s new neighborhood and Southwest Ranches are about 25 miles apart.
