Warriors Rookie Permitted by Klay Thompson to Drop Unwanted Nickname Following First Double-Double

Rookie Trayce Jackson-Davis of the Golden State Warriors is no longer called “BB T” in the locker room.

The Boston Celtics were defeated 132-126 in overtime earlier this week thanks to Jackson-Davis’s first career double-double. Klay Thompson, a teammate, referred to him as “Trayce Jr.”

Upon entering the locker room, “Klay announced it,” Jackson-Davis informed reporters on Tuesday. “I believe I’ve become Trayce Jr. now.”

Thompson finally let Jackson-Davis drop the moniker after “BbT” had a career-high 29 minutes of play in which he scored 10 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.

In addition to being an enormously athletic big man, he is a vertical spacer and a formidable shot blocker. “Trayce Jr., very athletic,” Thompson remarked following the decisive victory over Boston.

Since my sole acquaintance with the surname Trayce is Trayce Thompson, I assume it is his new moniker. MLB player, Roman’s dad.

Naturally, the outfielder Trayce Thompson is the younger brother of Klay Thompson, who plays for the New York Mets.

The veteran teammates clearly looked up to Jackson-Davis after his significant role in the crucial victory over the Celtics. Jackson-Davis has the potential to become an important rotational player for the Warriors for the remainder of the season if he plays better.
