West Ham is ready to secure a bargain deal for Harry Maguire, offering £15 million

In the latest transfer news, West Ham United is reportedly ready to enter negotiations to sign Manchester United midfielder Harry Maguire during the upcoming 2024 summer transfer window. However, the club is only willing to spend a maximum of £15 million to secure the services of the English player.

Last summer in 2023, Manchester United listed Maguire for sale and agreed to let the 1993-born star leave for a fee of £30 million. However, Maguire expressed his desire to stay, resulting in West Ham being unable to fulfill their acquisition plans.

Back in 2019, Manchester United splashed out a hefty £85 million to bring Maguire to Old Trafford. Since then, his market value has reportedly dropped to €20 million according to Transfermarkt. Maguire currently holds a contract with Manchester United that extends until the summer of 2025.

West Ham’s willingness to negotiate a deal for Maguire at a significantly reduced price underscores their desire to bolster their squad with cost-effective signings.

It remains to be seen whether the two clubs can reach an agreement that satisfies both parties and facilitates Maguire’s potential move to West Ham United.
