Victor Osimhen confirms Chelsea transfer stance with clear response on social media

Victor Osimhen, a striker for Napoli, has hinted once more that he would be interested in joining Chelsea.

The Nigerian forward’s excellent Serie A play has led to persistent rumors that he is headed to the Premier League. In the past, Chelsea has been mentioned as being interested in him, along with Arsenal and Manchester United.

Osimhen is one option for the Blues as they move into the January transfer window, and Victor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon has also been mentioned recently. Additionally, a supporter has urged the former to relocate to Stamford Bridge on social media. On Osimhen’s birthday, they posted an image of the striker as a child wearing a Chelsea shirt along with the message, “Happy Birthday Victor Osimhen, pls come and rescue Chelsea soon,” on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

Osimhen then responded with a praying emoji and two hearts emojis. There are more hints that he has dropped recently than just his social media activity.

The 24-year-old recently signed a new deal with Napoli that runs through 2026. In the contract, which is valued at over £100 million, there is a new release clause. He also disclosed that his next move will likely be to remain in Europe. He said, “Of course,” on John Obi Mikel’s podcast. everything was true that I had discussions and that August week was a big one for me to make a decision, but I entrusted everything to God.

It was truly mind-boggling to witness these things, and the more I refused to give in to these individuals [in Saudi Arabia], the more they intensified.

“I talked to the people in charge, and my club and I discussed it and saw what we could do. We made a decision, and I told them that I liked these people and didn’t think I wаnted to leave for the time being. They recognize my perspective, but they persisted until their own transfer window [closed].Even before we played our first game of the season, I told them, “It’s done.” I didn’t want to think back, because obviously this was a big decision that would affect my life, but I also had to consider what would be best for my profession. Even though we play football for cash, there are other benefits as well.

After leading Napoli win the Serie A championship the previous season, Osimhen has continued to play well for them. In 18 appearances across all competitions in 2023–24, he has eight goals, whereas the previous season, he scored an incredible 31 goals.
