Ayesha Curry is well aware that she is more than just Stephen Curry’s wife to the many basketball fans who will only know her as that.
The 34-year-old actress from Canada and the United States also has her own culinary show on television, Ayesha’s Homemade, which she launched not long ago.
In a recent interview, Curry discussed the significance of being nominated to Forbes’ 30 under 30 list with ABC News.
Her roles as a mother and wife take precedence over her career, in her opinion. When asked if she missed being referred to as an NBA wife, she responded: “No, I don’t think I would ever call myself that, because I feel like that. I mean, I don’t think my husband would ever call himself a chef’s wife.”
Before her relationship with Curry, she had no idea what a hoops player Curry was, so it was intimidating to see so many people wearing his jersey.
No one in the Curry family is ever alone.
But it was then; now she considers herself a true fan. Their mutual support for one another’s professional endeavors is indicative of a strong partnership.
While appearing on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Ayesha shared the news that she and her husband have been taking golf lessons. “It’s something we can do together no matter where we are in the world,” the chef stated.
That was Jennifer who first brought it up, mentioning that she had heard Ayesha was “an amazing golfer.” With a look of amazement on his face, Curry shot back, “Say that again, I’m a what?” Sure, I can do that. I’m going to give that a lot of listens.
“I’m not very good at golf, but I’m trying to improve,” Ayesha admitted.
