In a record-setting performance on Tuesday, Chelsea advanced to the Carabao Cup final with a 6-0 thrashing of Middlesbrough.

Chelsea could not afford to make a mistake in Tuesday night’s second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final match against Middlesbrough, since they had lost the first leg.

And a six-goal thrashing—four in the first half alone—over the Championship side was precisely the punishment they merited.
